OFFICIAL: X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Gets Its New Cyclops, Storm, and Jean Grey
After months of speculation regarding the casting of Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm’s younger versions for 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse, the said film’s director Bryan Singer took it to Twitter to announce the newest members of the growing X-Men franchise.
Alexandra Shipp(Storm) is best known for portraying the late songstress Aaliyah in a Lifetime biopic, while English actress Sophie Turner(Jean Grey) is known for her role on HBO’s Game of Thrones, and the relatively unkown Tye Sheridan(Cyclops) has been praised for his role in 2012’s Mud.
The trio will be joining Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, and Oscar Isaac once the film’s principal photography begins.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release come May 27, 2016.
