BREAKING: MARVEL Debuts New Female Thor On “The View!”
After the revelation of a new Captain America hitting the road in a few months’ time, a big reveal has been spilled by Marvel today regarding one of their biggest characters: Thor.
Just minutes earlier on the ABC talk show The View, host Whoopi Goldberg announced that the current incarnation of Thor will be deemed unworthy to wield the Mjolnir, and a female individual will be taking his hammer and mantle after the ordeal.
“It’s a huge day in the Marvel Universe. Thor, the God of Thunder, he messed up, and he’s no longer worthy to hold that damn hammer of his. For the first time in history, that hammer is being held by a woman. That’s right. Thor is a woman!”, said Goldberg, as she unveiled the upcoming debut of the character.
Jenny McCarthy further stated that the new Thor is a character who was saved by her predecessor, the male Thor, at one point and has somehow remade herself, taking over his heroic role. In contrast with Jenny’s statement, a number of fans have speculated that this new Goddess of Thunder might be former Spawn mainstay Angela, as the artwork below partly resembles the character.
Who could be this new Thor? And what does it imply for the legendary Odinson? Guess we’ll find out real soon, as this story is still developing.
